About the position

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving, coordinating, and increasing sales at assigned accounts within your territory. This role involves promoting all products and services represented by the company to increase market share year over year. You will work closely with the Area Sales Director and the VP of Sales to determine account lists and will be expected to document and review annual plans, target accounts, and KPIs continuously. The position requires a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with key customers and understanding the company's product offerings to effectively drive new business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and coordinate sales at assigned accounts within the territory.
  • Promote all products and services to increase market share.
  • Document and review annual plans, target accounts, and KPIs continuously.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key buying influences and management contacts.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the company's services, pricing structures, and additional offerings.
  • Participate in OEM training classes to understand technical differentiators of products.
  • Complete customer survey reports for meaningful customer touchpoints.
  • Meet regularly with Sales Director and operational stakeholders to review customer retention and relationship activities.
  • Develop and implement an account strategy and plan with sales management.
  • Schedule and complete proactive customer calls and visits, capturing key information.
  • Identify capital projects, maintenance outages, and spending events early.
  • Partner with operations team to address customer service issues.
  • Participate in company-sponsored activities and trade shows to increase visibility.
  • Ensure delivery of total customer care and maintain customer trust in the company.
  • Complete all required training courses to demonstrate product knowledge.
  • Proficiently present company products and services to customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, primarily responsible for B and C accounts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Valid CDL A license and TWIC Card preferred or must be able to obtain.
  • Proficient with computer software tools including emails, spreadsheets, and Tableau dashboards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, technical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships quickly.
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Tableau and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and NB standards.
