About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Industrial Fluid Power at SunSource is responsible for managing a territory in Western Ohio, focusing on developing new business and maintaining existing accounts. This role requires a competitive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, supported by a knowledgeable customer service team and management to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and maintain existing accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Create a sales plan in collaboration with management.
  • Conduct full cycle prospecting activities including lead qualification, cold calls, and sales presentations.
  • Utilize tools, resources, and CRM to effectively manage time and territory.
  • Collaborate with customer service and technical support teams to meet sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a 2-year technical degree, preferably in Fluid Power, or a suitable combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Fluid Power certification is preferred.
  • 2+ years of industrial or technical sales experience, with at least 1 year in fluid power sales preferred.
  • Experience in application and troubleshooting of fluid power products and systems.
  • Ability to establish, build, and maintain business relationships.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and increase margins.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fluid power sales is preferred.
