About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager at GHX Industrial is responsible for managing sales activities within a designated territory, focusing on business development and customer prospecting. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can effectively consult with clients, prepare sales presentations, and maintain strong relationships with both current and potential customers. The position supports a well-established sales territory and involves collaboration with inside sales staff and participation in marketing events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day sales activities for ongoing business development and customer prospecting.
  • Consultatively sell company services to current and potential clients (B2B).
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.
  • Follow up and develop new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for current and potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare status reports, including activity, closings, and follow-up.
  • Work effectively with Inside Sales staff.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
  • Follow up for collection of payment.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in the industrial hose and gasket industry.
  • Experience with value-add sales is preferred.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and ability to learn and use a CRM system.
  • Valid Driver's license.
