About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager (Multi-Family) is responsible for profitably growing sales and achieving yearly sales goals by acting as a sales consultant for both current and emerging industries. This role involves prospecting new accounts, retaining existing customers, and increasing opportunities with current clients. The position requires the operation of a company or personal vehicle, with travel expectations exceeding 20% of the work week.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization.
  • Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers and successfully prospects to expand the customer base.
  • Develops and implements plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Shares market and competitor information with applicable channels within the organization.
  • Establishes relationships and working partnerships.
  • Attends monthly business meetings for all company-sponsored associations and participates in local trade shows and similar regional/national activities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA with generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
