About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies and other products to an established portfolio of multi-family housing customers. This role focuses on maintaining and driving sales within the Northeast Charlotte territory, requiring strong relationship-building skills and a consultative sales approach. The position offers a competitive base salary, sales incentive bonuses, and necessary tools such as a laptop, tablet, and cell phone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with an existing group of customers and prospect successfully to expand the customer base.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market and competitor information with applicable channels within the organization; establish relationships and working partnerships.
  • Attend monthly business meetings for all company-sponsored associations and participate in local trade shows.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of business to business (B2B) field sales experience.
  • Direct sales experience to multi-family communities and facilities maintenance customers.
  • Experience with large volume of product lines.
  • Organizational skills and knowledge of handheld technology.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, and more.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.
