About the position

Continental Resources, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager for its Test and Measurement Division. With over 60 years of experience, we are recognized as a leading source for electronic test and measurement equipment. This role is pivotal in selling and renting state-of-the-art products such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and wireless communication testers to various markets including industrial, aerospace/defense, and communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining current accounts while also developing new business opportunities to generate rental and sales volume for the Instruments division. The position requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable with face-to-face customer interactions, daily phone calls, and bi-weekly sales meetings. The sales territory includes Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Western Pennsylvania. The Outside Sales Account Manager will collaborate closely with the inside sales team to drive sales revenue and will be responsible for preparing sales presentations for key accounts. Additionally, the role involves keeping abreast of competitors' activities and strategies, as well as maintaining accurate records in our Salesforce CRM database. Responsibilities

  • Maintain current accounts and develop new business to generate rental and sales volume for the Instruments division.
  • Engage in face-to-face contact with customers, along with daily phone calls and bi-weekly sales meetings.
  • Conduct joint sales visits with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop sales revenue from a designated geographical area.
  • Prepare sales presentations for key accounts and individuals responsible for placing orders.
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Salesforce CRM database.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales team to support daily sales efforts.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of outside sales experience within any category of the electronics industry.
  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent Test and Measurement experience.
  • Technical certificate or leasing experience is a plus.
  • Strong sales and closing skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical background or experience in the electronics industry is a plus.
