About the position

Continental Resources, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager for its Test and Measurement Division, which has been a reliable source for electronic test and measurement equipment for over 60 years. This role is pivotal in selling and renting state-of-the-art products such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and wireless communication testers to various markets including industrial, aerospace/defense, and communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts while also developing new business opportunities to generate rental and sales volume for the Instruments division. The position requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable with face-to-face customer interactions, daily phone calls, and bi-weekly sales meetings. The Outside Sales Account Manager will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to conduct joint sales visits and prepare sales presentations for key accounts. This role also involves keeping abreast of competitors' activities and strategies, ensuring that the company remains competitive in the market. The candidate will be expected to maintain accurate records in the Salesforce CRM database and collaborate with the Inside Sales team to drive sales revenue effectively. Responsibilities

  • Maintain current accounts and develop new business to generate rental and sales volume for the Instruments division.
  • Engage in face-to-face contact with customers, along with daily phone calls and bi-weekly sales meetings.

  • Develop sales revenue from a given geographical area and prepare sales presentations for key accounts.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of outside sales experience within any category of the electronics industry.
  • BA/BS degree preferred, technical certificate, or equivalent Test and Measurement experience preferred.
  • Leasing experience is a plus.
  • Technical background or experience in the electronics industry is a plus.
  • Strong sales and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
