About the position

The Test and Measurement Division is an authorized partner of leading test equipment manufacturers, including Rohde & Schwarz, Tektronix, Keithley, Keysight Technologies, and Fluke. We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Outside Sales Account Manager in the Test and Measurement sector, where you will have the opportunity to sell and rent state-of-the-art products such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and wireless communication testers. This position primarily targets the industrial, aerospace/defense, and communications markets. As an Outside Sales Account Manager, you will become familiar with the Test and Measurement industry and engage in selling to various departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Control, R&D, and Manufacturing. You will work closely with our inside sales team to maximize sales opportunities. The sales territory for this role includes San Jose and Santa Clara, covering the Silicon Valley area. Responsibilities

  • Maintain current accounts and develop new business to generate rental and sales volume for the Instruments division.
  • Engage in face-to-face contact with customers, along with daily phone calls and bi-weekly sales meetings.
  • Conduct joint sales visits with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop sales revenue from a designated geographical area.
  • Prepare sales presentations for key accounts and individuals responsible for placing orders.
  • Keep abreast of competitors' activities and latest strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Salesforce CRM database.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales team to drive sales revenue.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of outside sales experience within any category of the electronics industry.
  • BA/BS degree preferred, or technical certificate, or equivalent Test and Measurement experience.
  • Leasing experience is a plus.
  • Technical background or experience in the electronics industry is a plus.
  • Strong sales and closing skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
