About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager at Fromm Electric Supply is responsible for driving sales of products and services to an established customer base while also developing new accounts. The role focuses on annual business growth and requires building strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for account-specific matters, building strong customer relationships, and acquiring new customers.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product sales with existing customers and develop new accounts within the industry.
  • Demonstrate product offerings to customers using various resources.
  • Prepare sales contracts, coordinate with departments, and utilize CRM software to plan and document sales efforts.
  • Stay updated on products and technologies, attend industry events, and participate in sales planning activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, report competitive conditions, and inform customers of company policies.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to changes and handle assigned tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in appliances/electrical industry.
  • Strong product knowledge, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents.
