About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving sales of electrical products and services to an established customer base while also developing new accounts. The role focuses on annual business growth and requires building strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for account-specific matters and build strong customer relationships.
  • Acquire new customers and identify opportunities to expand product sales with existing customers.
  • Demonstrate product offerings to customers using various resources.
  • Prepare sales contracts and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Utilize CRM software to plan and document sales efforts effectively.
  • Stay updated on products and technologies relevant to the industry.
  • Attend industry events and participate in sales planning activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and report competitive conditions to management.
  • Inform customers of company policies and maintain flexibility to adapt to changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the appliances/electrical industry.
  • Strong product knowledge and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents.
