About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing a base of existing clients while independently developing new sales leads in the Greater New Orleans area. This role focuses on Business-to-Business sales across commercial, educational, and industrial markets, offering unlimited earning potential through commissions and bonuses. The position emphasizes excellent communication and organizational skills to succeed in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop leads through cold calling, appointment setting, networking, and referrals.
• Service and expand existing accounts.
• Conduct thorough fact-finding on all sales projects.
• Document all sales and account management activities in CRM.
• Become knowledgeable about the entire product line.
• Configure required documentation for proposals and agreements.
• Collaborate with technical, administration, and support colleagues regularly.
• Regularly attend and get involved with trade, industry, and networking associations.

Requirements

• College degree preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years of outside sales experience.
• B2B Sales experience with a proven record of closing business.
• Hunter/Farmer mentality for networking and lead development.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Exhibit high ethical standards and take initiative, prioritize, and schedule goals.
