About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager at Power-Flo Technologies Inc. is responsible for driving sales of submersible, circulator, and de-watering pumps across the Northeast territory. This role involves generating new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and providing technical support and solutions to clients. The position requires a strong sales background and technical knowledge of pumps and systems, with a focus on meeting customer needs and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new business to increase revenue through prospecting activities, including cold calling.
  • Schedule outside appointments with existing customers to review application requirements and uncover new opportunities.
  • Maintain existing relationships and actively seek out new clients.
  • Liaison between the company and customers for ongoing account management activities including quotations, pricing, delivery, technical support, and service.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by completing all training activities as needed.
  • Meet in person with target buyers to discuss products and services.
  • Determine customer requirements to recommend specific products, solutions, or services.
  • Utilize marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and introduce new products to existing customers.
  • Organize joint sales calls with vendors and provide timely solutions to customer queries.
  • Prepare and execute effective sales presentations and demonstrations of products.
  • Maintain liaison with other departments for order completion and timely shipment.
  • Engage customers in promotional activities and maintain expense and call reporting.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows and perform all administrative aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated sales success and technical knowledge of pumps and systems.
  • Desire to grow business through outside sales appointments.
  • Track record of success and achievement as a sales representative.
  • Consistently identify new sources of business and maintain high productivity and standards.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude of products and commitment to quality.
  • Valid Driver's License to travel to customers.
