About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and achieving profitability in alignment with the company's vision and values. This position is responsible for representing the full range of company products and services within assigned territories. The Account Manager will establish and maintain relationships with various departments and stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to sales and customer service. The role requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement effective sales strategies that meet company goals while fostering strong business relationships with customers. In this position, the Account Manager will be tasked with generating outbound calls and emails to increase sales visits, updating sales goals in the pipeline report, and making both telephone and field calls to existing and prospective customers. The individual will also be responsible for prospecting and forecasting on a monthly basis, upselling and cross-selling products and services to existing customers, and actively maintaining the CRM system to track customer interactions and sales activities. A key aspect of the role involves developing a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy that ensures the attainment of sales goals and profitability. The Outside Sales Account Manager will initiate selling activities within the territory, coordinate resource deployment, and engage in customer interactions. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards is essential, and the Account Manager will ensure these are communicated and implemented within their team. This position is ideal for a highly energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and possesses strong decision-making and problem-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales Goals
  • Generate outbound calls and emails to increase sales visits and update sales goals in your pipeline report during time in the office.
  • Make telephone and field calls to existing valued customers and prospective customers.
  • Prospect and forecast on a monthly basis.
  • Upsell and cross-sell our existing customers with new products and services.
  • Actively maintain and update your CRM to include customer visits, contact information, pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiate the selling activities within the territory, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in business, marketing and sales or related field of study (preferred)
  • Proven ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of customer organization
  • Able to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organization, time management and presentation skills
  • Highly energetic and self-starter
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
  • Should be honest, assertive and systematic
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
