Altec Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales / Account Manager to join our team in Texas. This position is focused on generating new business and ensuring the growth of existing accounts. As an industry leader and U.S. manufacturer of aerial units, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment, Altec provides a robust support system for its sales team, including in-house training and technical sales support. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, time management, and administrative skills, along with a passion for sales and a relationship-driven approach. Experience in selling heavy machinery and equipment, such as construction or farm equipment, is highly valued. Candidates with a background in Aircraft and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) sales will also be considered favorably. In this role, you will assess the potential application of Altec's products and services, offering tailored solutions to meet customer needs. You will be responsible for researching and presenting reports that demonstrate the cost benefits of purchasing Altec products or services. Additionally, you will provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback to aid in future product development. The position requires extensive overnight travel and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Candidates must have strong communication and information processing skills, as well as proficiency in PC applications such as spreadsheets and word processing. The job level can be adjusted at the time of hire for candidates who meet the qualifications for more experienced roles within the career path.
