Responsibilities

  • Prospect for potential customers through various methods.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and present technical information.
  • Prepare sales proposals for potential and existing customers.
  • Establish new and maintain existing relationships with a variety of customers.
  • Monitor market and competitor activities and adjust to a changing environment.
  • Negotiate and close sales.
  • Provide technical support.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in sales of plumbing and heating products to the contractor market.
  • In-depth understanding of the construction business.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Mechanical industry knowledge: 3 years (preferred).
  • HVAC industry knowledge: 5 years (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of industrial, commercial, and institutional markets for plumbing and heating products.
  • Two-year degree from a technical college; Four-year degree preferred or equivalent progressive experience in relevant field.
