About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager is responsible for strategically driving sales and achieving goals to maximize profitability and growth in alignment with the company's vision and values. This role involves representing the full range of company products and services within assigned territories and establishing strong relationships with staff across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals and targets.
  • Generate outbound calls and emails to increase sales visits and update sales goals in the pipeline report.
  • Make telephone and field calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Prospect and forecast on a monthly basis.
  • Upsell and cross-sell existing customers with new products and services.
  • Maintain and update CRM with customer visits, contact information, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market to ensure attainment of sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiate selling activities within the territory, including resource deployment and customer interactions.
  • Coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of prior relatable experience in Safety, Industrial, and/or MRO markets.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of customer organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities.
  • Honest, assertive, and systematic approach.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
