About the position

Power-Flo Technologies is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to lead our customers in selecting automation solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing and machine performance. This role is pivotal in driving sales and fostering relationships with clients in the NY Metro and Long Island area. The position offers a base salary range of $65,000 - $95,000 per year, complemented by a commission package and a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a PTO program, paid holidays, and a 401K with employer matching. As an Outside Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for all sales of products and services within your assigned territory and accounts. Your primary duties will include generating and developing new business to increase revenue through prospecting activities, such as cold calling, and scheduling outside appointments with existing customers to review application requirements and uncover new opportunities. You will maintain existing relationships while actively seeking new clients, effectively liaising between the company and customers for all ongoing account management activities, including quotations, pricing, delivery, technical support, service, and new product releases. To succeed in this role, you will need to establish and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by completing all necessary training activities. You will consistently meet in person with target buyers, determine customer requirements to recommend specific products, solutions, or services, and utilize marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness. Additionally, you will introduce new products to existing customers, organize joint sales calls with vendors, provide timely solutions to customer queries, and prepare and execute effective sales presentations and demonstrations of products. Your role will also involve maintaining liaison with other departments for order completion and timely shipment, engaging customers in promotional activities, and performing all administrative aspects of the position, including sales opportunity reports and maintenance of customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all sales of products and services within the assigned territory and/or accounts.

  • Perform all administrative aspects of the position, including sales/opportunity reports and maintenance of customer accounts.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of business to business sales experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years demonstrated sales success and technical knowledge of industrial control and automation applications, products, and services.
  • Desire to grow business through outside sales appointments.
  • Track record of success and achievement as a sales representative.
  • Consistently identify new sources of business.
  • Maintain high productivity and standards.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude of products.
  • Commitment to quality.
  • Valid Driver's License to travel to customers.
