About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving B2B sales initiatives and building strong client relationships. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and achieving sales targets in a competitive marketplace, primarily through face-to-face interactions in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with potential and existing customers.
  • Services customers directly from a stocked vehicle with 15-20 stops within the territory daily.
  • Engages in in-person interactions with mechanics, shop foremen, engineers, corporate purchasing departments, and business owners daily.
  • Achieves and exceeds sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Follows up on sales leads provided by management.
  • Monitors collections on a monthly basis with the Accounts Receivable Department.
  • Works trade shows as determined by management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong account management skills with a focus on client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous manufacturing sales experience (preferred).
