About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team, focusing on business-to-business sales development. This full-time position requires collaboration with the General Manager to ensure client satisfaction and maintain a high level of service in customer relations. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for building and managing a list of sales leads, pitching to prospects, and expanding the company's client base while also maintaining an existing portfolio of business. The role demands a proactive approach to understanding and meeting customer needs, fostering relationships, and identifying opportunities for additional business with clients. In this position, you will be tasked with achieving sales goals, answering customer inquiries, generating leads, and closing sales. You will maintain an assigned portfolio of business, providing renewal contracts for snow and landscape maintenance services. A thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and products/services is essential to provide excellent customer service and resolve any complaints effectively. You will also be responsible for managing and updating customer information using Salesforce.com, researching target markets, and implementing new initiatives to attract prospective accounts. Additionally, you will assist the General Manager and Sales Department with snow removal sales and onboarding for new property maintenance business. This includes building bids and quotes for new opportunities and ensuring effective communication with clients to meet their expectations. Accurate completion of administrative forms, daily tracking of sales and client activity, and reporting are also key responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update on an ongoing basis using Salesforce.com for tracking of prospects and customers
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
  • Researching prospective accounts in target markets
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Assist the General Manager and Sales Department in snow removal sales and property maintenance onboarding for new business
  • Assist with building bids/quotes for new business opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure expectations are met
  • Accurately complete own administrative forms or reviews thereof, including but not limited to daily personal sales sheets
  • Assist with sales and renewals as directed by the General Manager
  • Track and report sales, client activity, and proposal activity daily tracking report

Requirements

  • Must have experience in parking lot/property maintenance, including snow removal, concrete, and asphalt
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong math skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and a positive attitude
  • Previous sales/business development experience
  • Understanding of customer service and sales practices
  • Time management and conflict resolution skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Able to work effectively as a team and assist wherever the greatest needs may be
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Acceptable MVR - No more than 3 moving violations within the last three years
  • Approved to work by our insurance
