About the position

The Outside Sales/Branch Manager at Brown-Campbell Company is responsible for leading and developing the sales team at the Memphis location. This role involves overseeing outside sales and warehouse operations, ensuring superior customer service, and achieving sales growth through relationship building with customers. The position requires a dynamic individual who is energetic, personable, and self-motivated, with a focus on both sales and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales growth by developing relationships with existing and potential customers throughout the Memphis territory.
  • Make sales calls on customers at least three days per week, with some overnight travel required.
  • Work with the inside sales team to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer requests for pricing and product information.
  • Direct and oversee warehouse personnel and operations, including safety, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and training.
  • Maintain superior customer service standards through on-time deliveries and satisfactory resolution of customer issues.
  • Ensure branch operations are consistent with corporate standards and assist branch personnel in achieving this.
  • Develop and implement improved inside sales and warehouse practices to promote safety, efficiency, and increased sales.

Requirements

  • College degree in Business preferred.
  • Experience in inside and outside sales and industrial management preferred.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Strong organizational abilities and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in business, math, Word, and Excel.
  • Attention to accuracy and details.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the steel or fiberglass industry.
  • Familiarity with sales growth strategies.
