About the position

The Outside Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with contributors to SCRA's Industry Partnership Fund (IPF). This role focuses on generating revenue through new business development and maintaining existing contributor relationships, utilizing sales skills and relationship-building best practices to advocate for the value of the IPF.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate new contributors to the IPF in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
  • Steward existing contributor relationships to ensure recurring contributions.
  • Conduct research to identify prospective contributors and maintain current information about existing contributors.
  • Attend and present at meetings, events, and conferences with contributors.
  • Stay informed about IPF contributor and market trends.
  • Maintain professional knowledge of the IPF through workshops and networking.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of sales and/or account management experience.
  • Excellent identification and prospecting skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stewardship skills.
  • Expertise in conducting in-person engagement calls.
  • Outstanding customer service and follow-through.
  • Experience interacting with C-suite executives and business leaders.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make ethical decisions.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).

Benefits

  • Salary of $75,000 plus commissions and bonuses.
