About the position

The Distributor Sales Consultant (DSC) is a vital role focused on driving sales growth within a designated territory in Pennsylvania. This position involves building relationships with salons, barbers, spas, and other beauty professionals to enhance their sales through effective product promotion and education. The DSC will utilize various sales strategies, including social media engagement, to meet and exceed sales goals while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business by identifying key accounts and establishing an efficient route for customer development.
• Demonstrate and assist customers in planning and implementing in-salon promotions and programs.
• Communicate sales initiatives and collaborate with vendors to achieve corporate sales goals.
• Respond to all communications within 24 hours.
• Analyze accounts to determine necessary brand support and promotions.
• Conduct in-person visits to execute sales goals and maintain customer relationships.
• Manage administrative tasks including order entry and customer information maintenance in Salesforce.
• Prospect for new customers through cold calling and social media.
• Conduct product knowledge classes both in-person and virtually.
• Communicate regularly with the manager regarding sales progress and customer interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with a focus on consultative selling.
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• Working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms for business development.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Salesforce, Outlook, and Oracle.
