The Outside Sales Consultant role is crucial for improving Resource Label Group's market position and achieving financial growth. This position involves building key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The consultant will focus on three primary areas: New Business Development, Customer Retention, and Account Planning. This role requires collaboration with various staff members throughout the organization, both internal and external, to ensure success in sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through strategic prospecting.
  • Develop tactical plans to maintain and expand services with existing and assigned accounts.
  • Proactively identify new customers and new project opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and organization throughout the sales and production process.
  • Establish high-level relationships and gain a clear understanding of customers' business and requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on customer and industry trends, challenges, etc.
  • Update and maintain sales activity, as well as customer and prospect information within Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to answer questions and provide information regarding new products, capabilities, and services.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Forecast and meet monthly and annual sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience within printing, packaging or folding carton required, label experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must display a thorough knowledge of printing.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to resolve problems.
  • Must have a positive demeanor and work well with customers and company employees.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time as required.
  • Some travel required within a local market (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
