The Solar Sales Representative role involves engaging with potential customers to promote and sell photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial use. This position is crucial in helping the company lead the solar industry in the Portland Metro area by driving sales and fostering customer relationships. The representative will work directly with clients, providing tailored solutions and contributing to a sustainable future through renewable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers in-person, introducing them to the benefits of solar energy and conducting personalized consultations to assess their energy needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Build rapport and trust with customers through genuine interactions, addressing their questions and concerns with confidence and professionalism to ultimately close sales.
  • Effectively manage your assigned territory, strategizing routes and scheduling appointments to maximize productivity and meet sales targets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our solar products and services, staying up-to-date on industry trends and technological advancements to effectively educate customers and differentiate our offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress, following up with leads and providing ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service, with a track record of success in a door-to-door or direct sales environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
