About the position

The Outside Sales Support role at Carter Lumber involves providing essential sales and administrative support to the Outside Sales team. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Outside Sales team in finding and completing sales of building materials and installed services.
  • Maintain the Outside Sales schedule to ensure timely material deliveries and job completions according to contract.
  • Manage the flow of paperwork and maintain an information database.
  • Create service requests in the POS system.
  • Communicate effectively with Outside Sales Representatives regarding their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors to ensure customer needs are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in building materials sales.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide resolutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
