About the position
The position is for a Sales Engineer specializing in boiler products and systems. The successful applicant will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing long-term relationships with contractors and engineers, while also accumulating an extensive group of sales prospects. The role requires a thorough understanding of California regulations and a wide range of boiler products, including boilers, burners, controls, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be adept at evaluating basic boiler room systems and possess persuasive language skills to facilitate sales tailored to customers' unique requirements and conditions. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will need to be in the office 1-2 days a week for administrative tasks and meetings, while also ensuring accurate communication regarding project details and pricing with customers.
Responsibilities
- Cultivating and nurturing long-term relationships with contractors and engineers.
- Accumulating an extensive group of sales prospects.
- Quoting and explaining every detail of proposed work to prevent miscommunication regarding pricing, project requirements, and schedules.
- Arranging equipment purchases with vendors.
- Regularly checking in on the latest boiler technology and seeking additional training to enhance knowledge.
Requirements
- Thoroughly informed and experienced with California regulations.
- Conversant with a wide range of boiler products, including boilers, burners, and controls.
- Ability to communicate boiler sizing details and provide application support.
- Proficient evaluation of basic boiler room systems.
- Good communication and language skills with knowledge of industry-specific vocabulary.
- Computer proficiency in programs such as Word, Excel, and CRM.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
