The primary objective of the Sales Engineer is to drive sales of industrial power generation applications, which include a variety of related equipment such as transfer switches, switchgear, load banks, and fuel tanks. This role involves engaging with a diverse range of clients, including end-users, engineers, electrical contractors, municipalities, government entities, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in expanding the company's market presence and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and relationship management. The role requires meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas by targeting specific customer types within identified verticals and identifying opportunities with existing accounts in the assigned territory. The Sales Engineer will negotiate and close deals that generate significant revenue and margins, while also understanding the full suite of products and services offered by the company. This position involves making joint sales calls with technical and engineering sales resources to provide in-depth technical knowledge of the solutions available. Building long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at the electrical contractor, engineer, and building owner levels is essential. The Sales Engineer will also maintain customer and project data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, tracking active projects for reporting and documenting business development activities and any obstacles encountered.
