About the position

The Outside Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue generation by selling products and services to LNG clients in the Gulf Coast Region, specifically Texas and Louisiana. This role involves utilizing technical and organizational knowledge to assist customers with engineered solutions tailored to their needs. The position also includes participation in marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple agent partners.
  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets and drive business growth.
  • Pursue sales opportunities via telephone and face-to-face presentations for new and existing customers.
  • Stay informed of new products, services, and customer interests.
  • Pursue new products developed through IMI Growth hub innovation department.
  • Identify and fulfill additional sales opportunities with existing customers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to ensure long-term growth.
  • Respond timely to customer inquiries regarding contracts and product issues.
  • Forecast sales on a monthly, quarterly, yearly, and long-term basis.
  • Conduct outage management activities including preventative maintenance planning and customer inventory management.
  • Design opportunity strategies using strategic selling tools and resources.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of sales experience with a proven record of revenue growth or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or management preferred.
  • Experience in the LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) industry is a plus.
  • Flow control sales experience including spare parts, services, and repairs preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Proficient in Sales Software/CRM tools, with Salesforce being a plus.
  • Previous experience with Miller Heiman methodology is a plus.
