About the position

Pape' Material Handling, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales - Equipment Parts & Service Representative to join their team in Fresno, CA. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about building long-lasting relationships and are driven to succeed. As a representative, you will be responsible for selling equipment parts and services to customers, ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance. You will act as a liaison between Pape's Parts and Service Departments and the customers, providing essential support after the sale of equipment. Your daily tasks will involve relationship-based selling, where you will assess customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver these services effectively. In this position, you will maintain and enhance your knowledge of material handling products and services, assist various supervisors in the department, and provide price quotes to customers. You will also be responsible for after-market sales support, proactively monitoring customer fleet repairs and maintenance through telematics, and promoting subscription renewals and maintenance plans. Managing your customer base and sales through CRM software will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that you stay organized and effective in your sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Sell equipment parts and services to customers to ensure their equipment is running in peak form.
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of material handling products, services, and costs.
  • Assist the Product Support Manager, Parts Supervisor, and Service Supervisor.
  • Provide price quotes to customers.
  • Provide after-market sales support for the parts and service departments.
  • Proactively monitor customer fleet repairs and maintenance using telematics.
  • Promote and sell telematics subscription renewals, extended warranties, and planned maintenance plans.
  • Manage customer base and sales using CRM software.

Requirements

  • Self-motivation and the desire to win.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to form strong relationships with customers.
  • Experience planning, developing, and executing sales action plans.
  • Knowledge and experience in heavy equipment parts and service.
