About the position

The Outside Sales Executive will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and market expansion for a small but dynamic company in the construction products industry, specifically focusing on waterproofing technology. This position requires a strategic approach to business development, strong customer relationship management, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to align sales strategies with market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development and sales strategies to grow market share in the waterproofing technology sector.
  • Conduct thorough market research to uncover new business opportunities and evaluate the competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert solutions and support to meet their needs.
  • Work with product development to align new products with market demands and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create strategies, campaigns, and materials that drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Ensure alignment between sales strategies and operations for seamless product delivery and business cohesion.
  • Track sales performance, analyze KPIs, and implement improvements using data-driven insights.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, delivering presentations and building relationships with key industry figures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and business development, preferably within construction or waterproofing.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry or building envelope sector.
  • Understanding of construction, waterproofing, and roofing technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management and rapport building.
  • Familiarity with Monday, Capsule CRM, Microsoft 365 & other proprietary software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with product development and innovation in the construction sector.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a sales team through performance reviews and feedback.
