About the position

The Outside Sales Executive at DSI Tech is responsible for driving sales of Cisco and other IT solutions primarily within the Texas market, focusing on State, Local, and School of Education (SLED) accounts. This role requires a dynamic individual with a robust existing account list and polished presentation skills, capable of both hunting for new prospects and farming existing accounts. The position is integral to the sales team, contributing to the company's growth and success in the technology solutions sector.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Cisco solutions and other vendor IT solutions to primarily State, Local and School of Education (SLED) establishments.
  • Interface and drive sales with customers in the Texas market (Houston, Austin or San Antonio).
  • Provide current and new clients product information, pricing, and conduct daily on-site visits.
  • Focus on Federal E-rate opportunities as well as SLED based sales.
  • Partner with Senior Network Engineers for all pre-sales activities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in outside sales capacity selling IT solutions for Cisco products or other vendors (NetApp, VMware, Microsoft, HPE, Crestron).
  • Must be knowledgeable with Cisco products and solutions.
  • Must have a proven and solid SLED sales background.
  • Bachelor's degree in business required or equivalent years of experience.
  • Existing and active client list for either Houston, Austin or San Antonio.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent time management, organization skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Any Cisco Sales Certification, especially CCSE (Cisco Certified Sales Expert).
  • Possess a strong SLED client list within your sales territory.
