About the position
The Outside Salesperson at Fisher Auto Parts Inc. is responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships while driving sales of automotive products and services. This role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, problem resolution, and account management, ensuring that sales targets are met through effective communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Interact with existing and potential customers to maintain favorable relationships and increase sales.
- Perform daily sales calls on a prescribed route.
- Present and demonstrate new products to customers.
- Manage customer programs, credits, and core returns.
- Provide pricing and product change updates, and distribute catalogs and price sheets.
- Prospect and develop new accounts.
- Resolve customer issues and problems in a timely manner.
- Organize customer clinics as required.
- Attend monthly sales meetings and training seminars to stay updated on trends.
- Monitor customer account balances and collect payments owed.
- Maintain customer sales records.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) must be obtained and maintained.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Proficient computer skills.
