About the position

The Outside Sales Manager for the Midwest Territory at Senbesta is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the window covering and equipment wholesale industry. This role requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks while seeking out new leads and working with existing accounts. The position involves travel to trade shows and customer meetings, emphasizing the importance of building long-lasting business relationships and introducing new products to the market.

Responsibilities

  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services
  • Open customer accounts by evaluating customer information and recording account information
  • Develop customer relationships through follow-up and regular interaction
  • Daily/Weekly follow-up with clients on orders
  • Feed new product and service ideas, market trends, and competitive intelligence to Product Management
  • Contact customers via telephone, correspondence, or in person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company
  • Utilize company leads to expand the current customer base and follow up on all leads promptly
  • Maintain updated, organized files on all accounts in the assigned territory
  • Complete and submit sales reports each week on account activity, outstanding proposals, proposals secured, and proposals lost with complete documentation
  • Call on window covering fabricators and manufacturers in the assigned region

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and related work experience
  • 3-5 years successful direct field sales experience
  • Ability to be in the field within Territory 80% (including some overnights)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with analyzing sales data to implement a strategic selling plan
  • Proven success rate at levels above quotas
  • Hunter mentality combined with ability to build long-lasting business relationships
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and 'hands-on' to follow multiple orders through from generation to close

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of sales experience (Preferred)
