Michelli Weighing & Measurement is seeking an Account Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customers and prospects within your assigned territory, ensuring maximum growth and profitability for the company. Since our establishment in 1947, we have been a leading distributor and service provider of scale and measurement equipment. Our extensive product range includes high precision instruments and industrial scales sourced from the best manufacturers worldwide. With locations across 11 states, we pride ourselves on providing local support to our customers. As an Account Manager, your primary focus will be on sales marketing, promotion, and follow-up activities aimed at generating sales of industrial scales, weighing systems, laboratory balances, and force measurement equipment. You will be expected to meet sales goals set by your sales manager or supervisor and adhere to ISO 9001 Quality Management System objectives and processes. A key aspect of your role will involve greeting walk-in customers with a warm and positive attitude, demonstrating equipment to end-users when necessary, and preparing sales quotations through various communication channels including phone, fax, email, and personal sales calls. You will also be responsible for making cold calls and following up on leads provided by the company or manufacturers. Your insights from the field regarding safety, products, competitors, and market trends will be invaluable to G.T. Michelli. Participation in sales training sessions is essential to enhance your skills and knowledge. The position requires travel within a 100-mile radius of the office, utilizing a company vehicle, and may involve maintaining a home office. You will also participate in an on-call rotation and may need to work beyond the standard 40-hour workweek as necessary. Carrying a cell phone or paging device while on duty is required, and you may occasionally assist service personnel with installations. Proficiency in using a CRM system to log customer data is also expected.
