About the position

The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit both past and new business, aiming to achieve or exceed all revenue goals. This role involves maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand standards.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for customers.
  • Manage accounts ensuring solicitation and closing processes are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate participation from various departments in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Articulate and leverage hotel benefits to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales required.
  • Previous hospitality sales experience preferred.
