About the position

The Outside Sales Manager at Sycamore Precision Inc. is responsible for representing the company's machining capabilities and developing new business opportunities. This role involves building strong relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions in machining, powder coating, or assembled products. The successful candidate will engage in market research, sales presentations, and collaboration with internal teams to meet sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our capabilities, services, and product offerings.
  • Prospect and identify potential customers within the target market to generate new business leads.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and client visits.
  • Present and demonstrate our machining capabilities to clients, effectively showcasing the value and benefits of working with Sycamore Precision.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries and orders.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals set by the company.
  • Record sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends accurately.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales preferably in the manufacturing or machining industry.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and understanding of CNC capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based sales role.
