About the position

The Outside Sales Manager at SCI Shared Resources, LLC is responsible for developing and leading a well-trained sales staff to meet or exceed sales quotas, increase market share, and enhance the customer base while adhering to ethical standards and company policies. This role involves staff management, market analysis, expense management, operational support, and ensuring compliance with sales practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a well-trained sales staff that meets or exceeds sales quotas.
  • Ensure Sales Counselors utilize methods as outlined in training manuals while adhering to company policies.
  • Provide initial and ongoing sales instruction to Sales Counselors.
  • Manage Sales Counselors as their primary reference for the aftercare process, prospecting, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Develop marketing programs that align with community demographics and events.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends.
  • Review pre-need and at-need contracts for compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Approve discounts offered to customers and prepare compliance reports.
  • Maintain marketing materials, training manuals, and sales equipment.
  • Ensure sales programs and presentations conform to company policies and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct and obtain proper licensure for sales counselors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Sales supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in presenting, training, coaching, and motivating sales teams is a plus.
  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record required.
  • Insurance license as required by state law.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work beyond standard business hours when necessary.
