About the position

The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit both past and new business, aiming to achieve or exceed all revenue goals. This role involves maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques, maintaining relationships with key accounts, and coordinating with various departments to service accounts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand standards.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for customers.
  • Manage accounts ensuring solicitation and closing processes are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate participation of various departments in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Articulate and leverage hotel benefits to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls and promote the hotel.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHMs EarthView program.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales required, with previous hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality sales is preferred.
