About the position
The Multimedia Account Executive is responsible for educating and selling multimedia products and services to an established business client base while also developing new customers. This role involves conducting customer needs analysis, creating presentations and proposals, and utilizing both traditional and social media methods to prospect for new business. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with various personality types across multiple publications.
Responsibilities
- Educate and sell multimedia products and services to clients.
- Conduct customer needs analysis and create customized presentations and proposals.
- Utilize traditional methods and social media to prospect for new business.
- Sell advertising space for print and digital products.
- Initiate and nurture professional relationships with clients and internal contacts.
- Support and achieve individual and company sales goals.
- Maintain daily sales call log and submit to Advertising Manager.
- Make collection calls as necessary.
- Attend departmental and company meetings as scheduled.
- Learn and sell new online products as they are introduced.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the print and multimedia industry.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with proof of vehicle liability insurance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in advertising sales.
- Familiarity with social networking tools for business purposes.
