About the position

The Outside Sales/Relationship Manager at Smash My Trash of Baton Rouge is responsible for driving sales and building relationships with industrial, manufacturing, and construction businesses in the Baton Rouge area. This role involves creating customer proposals, making sales calls, and maintaining client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business success. As the company grows, there is potential for advancement into a Sales Manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Creating customer proposals, presenting them to prospective customers, and following up to complete contracts and sales.
  • Making sales calls and contacts to industrial, manufacturing, and construction businesses in a route-like fashion.
  • Setting face-to-face appointments, cold calling, maintaining customer information, and closing contracts.
  • Maintaining client relationships to ensure long-term happiness and ongoing residual commissions.
  • Working as a team member to facilitate SMASH demos with the truck driver.
  • Representing Smash My Trash at association meetings, local events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Utilizing marketing collateral to generate leads for the route business.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in outside sales or B2B sales.
  • At least a high school diploma; a degree from the school of hard knocks is preferred.
  • Adaptable, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • A team player who collaborates well with others.
  • Good sense of humor and enthusiasm for the job.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and client service mentality.
  • Goal-oriented and driven to achieve monthly sales goals.
  • Desire to earn great money through exceptional customer service and business generation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to participate in a background check.
