About the position

The Outside Sales Relationship Manager at Heartland Payment Systems is responsible for selling merchant services to businesses, managing client relationships, and identifying revenue opportunities within assigned territories. This role involves both field sales and some phone-based interactions, focusing on account management and customer engagement to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through various activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and conduct online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintain client records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keep management informed of all activity through timely report preparation.
  • Continuously build knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in sales.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or cold calling sales.
