About the position
Midland Paper, Packaging and Supplies is growing and is looking for intelligent, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join their sales team. The company serves the commercial printing and packaging markets with its corporate headquarters in Wheeling, Illinois, and has 10 distribution centers from Minneapolis to St. Louis. Midland ranks as one of Chicago's Top 50 Private Companies and is one of America's largest independent paper and packaging distribution firms. The Outside Sales Representatives will be expected to take an entrepreneurial approach to develop new business based on their own long-term strategic relationships to grow revenue and profitability. Responsibilities include uncovering sales opportunities, developing new business, increasing sales penetration and profits within serviced accounts, and developing knowledge of the products and services offered at Midland Paper to build strong collaborative relationships.

Requirements
- Proven ability to develop and execute a sales plan to reach target accounts

- Ability to effectively manage a sales territory and the selling process
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in the paper and/or packaging industry
- Successful track record of documented gross trade margin increases year over year
