About the position

As an Outside Sales Specialist at ARC Document Solutions, you will be responsible for selling large-format color graphic printing services across various market segments, including retail, advertising, education, manufacturing, and fashion. This role involves engaging with a diverse clientele, from C-level executives to business owners, to understand their marketing and advertising objectives and demonstrate how our products and services can add value to their operations. You will be tasked with selling a comprehensive range of services, including point-of-purchase displays, exhibit graphics, large format posters, banners, and promotional signage, among others. Your primary focus will be to develop and maintain strong business relationships with both existing and new customers, contributing to their marketing goals and ultimately enhancing their sales and profitability. You will create a strategic plan to achieve your revenue quota while maximizing long-term account opportunities. This includes performing effective cold calling, identifying customer needs, and delivering compelling presentations and proposals that highlight the unique value we offer. In this role, you will manage complex sales cycles using a consultative solution selling approach, developing tailored proposals that outline customer-specific applications, pricing, and implementation plans. You will also leverage internal resources, including production teams and graphic design, to present a comprehensive solution to your clients. This position is ideal for an independent, self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is driven to exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Sell a full line of color services including large format, small format, and finishing services to local, regional, and national businesses.
  • Engage with C-level executives and decision-makers to understand their business objectives and promote relevant products and services.
  • Develop strong business relationships with existing and new customers to support their marketing and advertising goals.
  • Create a strategic plan for achieving revenue quotas and maximizing long-term account revenue opportunities.
  • Perform effective cold calling and needs identification to generate new business.
  • Develop and deliver customer presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that highlight the value of our offerings.
  • Manage complex sales cycles utilizing a consultative solution selling approach.
  • Develop proposals outlining unique customer business applications, pricing, and implementation plans.
  • Utilize internal resources, including production and graphic design teams, to present total solutions to customers.

Requirements

  • Independent, self-motivated sales professional capable of working independently.
  • Proven record of above-quota sales performance.
  • Excellent cold-calling, objection-handling, and closing skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in various settings.
  • Some experience in selling design or color printing services is preferred.
  • Driven to achieve high levels of sales performance and quota overachievement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Dynamic and outgoing personality with networking abilities at industry events and local associations.
  • Ability to prospect via telephone or other media to set in-person appointments.
  • Experience in print sales, particularly with large format color printing.
