About the position

The Outside Sales Representative position is focused on generating and securing sales of building materials with both new and existing customers, aimed at increasing the company's profitability. This role operates under a "PAY FOR PERFORMANCE" model, offering uncapped earning potential, which means that the more sales you generate, the more you can earn. The representative will be responsible for promoting and selling products, facilitating customer product selection, and servicing existing accounts with necessary custom products and information. In this role, you will prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, sale terms, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers and contractors. You will also estimate materials based on blueprints provided by customers, resolve customer complaints and issues, and assist in accounts receivable collection. Participation in training sessions is required, and you may be assigned additional duties as needed. This position requires a flexible schedule, including the possibility of working weekends, and involves both indoor and outdoor work environments. The physical demands include the ability to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds, as well as regular sitting, standing, and walking. Responsibilities

  • Promote, sell, and secure new accounts.
  • Facilitate customer product selection.
  • Service existing accounts with necessary custom products, time, and information.
  • Assist with product selection best suited to customer needs.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, sale terms, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors.
  • Estimate materials from blueprints provided by customers/contractors.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Assist in accounts receivable collection.
  • Attend and participate in training, when required.
  • Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.

Requirements

  • Complete and pass a drug, alcohol, background screen and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Interpret written, oral, diagrams, and schedule-form instructions.
  • Calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Learn and utilize Envisioneer™ software.
