About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at FleetPride is responsible for selling heavy-duty truck and trailer parts and services to both current and prospective customers in a competitive B2B environment. This role focuses on maximizing sales and gross profit within a defined territory by expanding share within existing accounts and acquiring new customers. The representative is expected to solve customer problems, create mutual value, and maintain a high level of accountability in a performance-driven sales culture.

Responsibilities

  • Sell FleetPride products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Maximize sales and gross profit within a defined territory.
  • Grow share within existing customers through the sale of all product and service offerings.
  • Acquire new customers to expand the customer base.
  • Conduct account planning to identify sales opportunities and maintain account plans.
  • Prepare for sales calls by determining objectives and anticipating barriers.
  • Engage customers in discussions to assess their business needs and uncover expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain open dialogue with customers to communicate the value delivered by FleetPride.
  • Leverage internal resources and networks to maximize business results.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and understand competitive advantages.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of B2B sales experience, preferred.
  • Experience in heavy-duty equipment distribution sales or related industry is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical inclination and interest in FleetPride's industry.
  • Experience with CRM and other sales force automation tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Experience in heavy-duty equipment distribution sales or related industry.
  • Familiarity with sales force automation tools.
