As an Outside Sales Rep at United Rentals, you will be the voice and initial point of contact for our industry-leading company. This role is crucial as it involves utilizing your exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of interested parties and convert them into loyal customers. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and outgoing, with a passion for engaging with customers, building relationships, and selling our equipment and services. Your sales territory will be located in Emporia, KS, and candidates must be local to this area to be considered for the position. In this role, you will maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites within a defined geographical territory. You will maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies, acting as a single point of contact for these customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying new accounts from existing accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts. Collaboration with specialty division representatives will be essential to promote cross-selling opportunities to accounts wherever possible. You will prepare sales action plans and strategies, develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients, and utilize Sales Force.com and other CRM tools to develop a pipeline of opportunities. Monitoring competitors, market conditions, and product development will also be part of your responsibilities. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies and procedures, emphasizing the importance of safety in our operations.
