About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Cobalt in Rocky Hill, CT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for business sales and a proven track record in direct sales and network building. This position offers the opportunity to earn large bonuses and commissions when monthly goals are achieved. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for traveling within the greater area, collaborating with Referral Partners and Affiliates to introduce Cobalt's services and products to merchants. You will proactively generate leads in a dynamic business-to-business environment, leveraging our extensive network of partnerships and other referral sources. Your role will involve cultivating strong client relationships and expanding portfolios through strategic consulting and relationship management. It is essential to exemplify Cobalt's core values by upholding the highest ethical standards and fostering genuine connections with clients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outside & inside sales activities to generate new leads and drive sales growth
  • Utilize Sales Agent Portal or similar CRM software to manage client lead funnel, business accounts and sales pipelines
  • Negotiate sales contracts and agreements with clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
  • Collaborate with the sales management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Manage and grow key accounts through effective account management practices

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Proven track record in a quota-driven, self-sourcing sales environment, particularly with small to medium-sized businesses
  • Proficiency in cold-calling and independently sourcing leads
  • Door to door canvassing experience
  • Tracking daily sales activity
  • Proven experience in technology sales or related field
  • Strong understanding of software products and services
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
