About the position

High Tec Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Dayton, OH. This position is ideal for an experienced, self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in industrial sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multi-state territory, specifically focusing on heavy industrial facilities in Ohio and Kentucky. The role requires a minimum of two years of relevant sales experience, along with strong computer skills to manage sales activities effectively. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be expected to make face-to-face daily sales calls to potential and existing clients, aiming to increase overall sales within your territory. You will develop new client relationships while maintaining and nurturing existing ones, ensuring that sales objectives and goals are met. The position involves creating tailored sales presentations, participating in bid meetings, and assisting in contract negotiations. You will also be required to entertain clients occasionally, which may involve working evenings. The ideal candidate will have a background in heavy industrial sales, with experience in sectors such as steel, electric utility, pulp and paper, chemical, petrochemical, automotive, and general manufacturing. Strong organizational skills and self-motivation are essential for success in this role. Overnight travel may be necessary to meet clients within the assigned territory. The compensation structure includes a base salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000, with additional commission paid out quarterly based on sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Make face-to-face daily sales calls to heavy industrial facilities in Ohio and Kentucky.
  • Increase overall sales in the assigned territory.
  • Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Achieve sales objectives and goals.
  • Develop objectives by account and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize expansion and growth.
  • Develop and implement sales presentations to secure new accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Entertain clients and work some evenings if necessary.
  • Assist and participate in bid meetings with clients.
  • Assist and participate in quotation and contract negotiations with clients.
  • Maintain a strong organizational structure and self-motivation for sales activities.
  • Travel overnight when necessary into the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial sales.
  • Proven track record in sales with references.
  • Strong computer skills to manage sales activities.
  • Ability to manage a multi-state territory effectively.
  • Experience in making sales calls to heavy industrial plants and factories.
  • Organizational skills and self-motivation are essential.
