About the position
The Outside Sales Representative at ABC Supply is responsible for selling residential and commercial building materials to contractor customers while building and managing relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This role emphasizes relationship-building, effective communication, and strategic sales techniques to enhance business-to-business selling. The position offers high earning potential and utilizes exclusive sales tools to support success in the field.
Responsibilities
- Cultivating and managing customer relationships
- Utilizing sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
- Making cold calls to prospective customers
- Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
- Following up with customers and providing solutions for service concerns
- Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
- Assisting customers in the credit application process
- Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collecting payments when necessary
