As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling residential and commercial building materials to contractor customers while strategically developing new relationships with prospective clients in the industry. Your specific duties will include cultivating and managing customer relationships, utilizing sales reports and data to identify sales opportunities based on customer buying patterns, making cold calls to prospective customers, following up on sales leads, and scheduling appointments. You will also provide training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services, assist customers in the credit application process, and ensure timely payment of past due bills. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to delivering solutions to any service concerns that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivating and managing customer relationships
  • Utilizing sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
  • Making cold calls to prospective customers
  • Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
  • Following up with customers and providing solutions for service concerns
  • Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
  • Assisting customers in the credit application process
  • Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collecting payments when necessary

Requirements

  • College degree (Business, Sales or other related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have valid driver's license and own reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass MVR check
  • Vehicle insurance must meet company's requirements
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Superior time management and organization skills
